Warita.net – Efforts to strengthen human resource capacity in technology and digital fields continue to be driven by the Regional Government of Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency (Pemkab Bolsel). One such effort was realized through the Socialization of the Micro Skill Program and Mapping of Training Needs for the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) 2026. The event was held on Thursday (June 11, 2026) by the Bolsel Communications and Informatics Department (Diskominfo) in collaboration with the Manado Center for Human Resource Development in Communications and Digital Affairs (BLSDM).
The event, which took place in the Command Center Room at the Regent’s Office, Panango Office Complex, Bolaang Uki District, served as a platform to introduce online-based digital training programs that can be flexibly accessed by both the public and government apparatus.
The event was opened by the Head of the Bolsel Communications and Informatics Department, Marwan Makalalag, S.Pd., representing the Regional Secretary M. Arvan Ohy, SSTP, MAP. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation to BLSDM Manado for its support in bringing digital competency enhancement programs to the region.
“The regional government highly welcomes this program. We hope that participants can gain additional knowledge, insights, and digital skills relevant to the needs of the times,” he said.
According to him, strengthening the quality of human resources is one of the keys to supporting the acceleration of regional development and digital transformation, which is currently expanding across various public service sectors.
“Digital transformation is not just about infrastructure. It requires human resources who are capable of utilizing technology optimally, so opportunities for competency improvement like this must be utilized well,” he added.
Meanwhile, a representative from BLSDM Manado explained that the activity is part of the government’s efforts to cultivate competent and competitive digital talents to support the acceleration of national digital transformation, including in Bolsel Regency.
The Micro Skill Program itself is a self-paced, online-based training designed to be simple, flexible, and easily accessible. Available through the Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS) platform, the program allows participants to study anytime and from anywhere according to their needs.
The training materials are presented in the form of learning videos equipped with short, interactive quizzes lasting about one hour per theme, enabling participants to acquire new skills effectively.
“Through the Micro Skill Program, we want to expand access to digital training for all levels of society so they are better prepared to face the challenges and opportunities in the era of digital transformation,” the BLSDM Manado representative explained.
This program is expected to be a strategic step in improving the digital literacy and competence of the Bolsel community, while simultaneously supporting the realization of a more advanced and inclusive digital ecosystem in the region.
