Warita.net – The commitment to strengthen synergy between government levels was again demonstrated by the Regent of South Bolaang Mongondow (Bolsel), Iskandar Kamaru S.Pt, M.Si., through his presence at the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony of the Regional Secretary of North Sulawesi Province (Sulut), Tahlis Gallang, S.IP., MM. The event, held in the Mapalus Room, North Sulawesi Governor’s Office, Manado, took place in a solemn and meaningful atmosphere.
The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony was also attended by the North Sulawesi Provincial Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Coordination Forum), heads of regions throughout North Sulawesi, high-ranking officials, and various other invited guests.
This momentum is not only a ceremonial agenda but also an important part of encouraging the improvement of regional governance quality to be more effective and competitive.
North Sulawesi Governor Major General TNI (Ret.) Yulius Selvanus, S.E., in his speech expressed his appreciation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for the significant attention of the Central Government to development in the region.
“We must be grateful to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for paying special attention to North Sulawesi. Almost 90 percent of ministers, heads of agencies, and institutions in the Republic of Indonesia are present in North Sulawesi Province. In less than a year and a half, the Vice President has visited twice, and ministers have even visited repeatedly to see and hear directly the complaints and needs of the community,” said the Governor.

Furthermore, Yulius Selvanus emphasized the importance of utilizing this strategic situation as an opportunity to accelerate bureaucratic performance, especially by the Provincial Regional Secretary as the driving force of government administration.
“This good situation is certainly beneficial for all of us. The Regional Secretary must be creative, innovative, and sensitive in listening to community aspirations so that they can react quickly. We must not wait for next year or wait for programs, but maximize what is available today, especially in the Musrenbang (Regional Development Planning Deliberation) process, so that the available budget is truly effective and directly benefits the community,” he asserted, while congratulating the new North Sulawesi Provincial Regional Secretary on his inauguration.
Meanwhile, the active participation of the Bolsel Regent in this activity reflects the seriousness of the Regency Government in strengthening collaboration with the provincial government, in order to promote harmonious and sustainable development.
After the inauguration ceremony, Regent Iskandar Kamaru also extended his congratulations to Tahlis Gallang. He expressed his hope that the new Regional Secretary would carry out his mandate with full professionalism, integrity, and be able to optimally coordinate all regional perangkat (apparatus) for the creation of accountable governance that is responsive to the needs of the community.
On that occasion, the Regent was also accompanied by the Regional Secretary of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency, M. Arvan Ohy, S.STP., MAP., along with the Chairperson of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of Bolsel Regency, Teike Magreth Ohy-Tentero, S.T. This presence further strengthened the spirit of togetherness in building a more advanced region that is adaptive to future challenges.
