Warita.net – Deputy Regent of South Bolaang Mongondow (Bolsel) Deddy Abdul Hamid, attended the opening of the XI Regional Deliberation (Musda) of the Boy Scout Movement of North Sulawesi at the North Sulawesi Governor’s Office, Friday (10/4/2026).
The forum, which discussed the strategic direction of North Sulawesi Scouts for the 2026–2031 period, emphasized the importance of sustainable leadership amidst the challenges of the times.
Head of Kwarda North Sulawesi, Vanda Sarundajang, asserted that Musda must be a productive space for ideas.
“Make this a stage for ideas, not a stage for ego. Scouts must be present as social solutions,” he said.

In line with this, the Secretary General of the National Scout Headquarters, Bachtiar Utomo, emphasized the importance of alignment with local governments.
“Scouts must have one vision with the government to strengthen the development of a competitive generation,” he said.
The North Sulawesi Provincial Government, through the Head of the Youth and Sports Office, called the Musda a strategic momentum in strengthening the role of Scouts.
“Scouts play a central role in shaping character and instilling the value of love for the homeland,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deddy Abdul Hamid emphasized cross-sectoral collaboration as key.
According to Deddy, through the theme carried, it is hoped that the relay of leadership in North Sulawesi Scouts can run continuously and be able to produce cadres who have high independence and competitiveness.
“Synergy between the government and Scouts is important to produce a resilient and independent generation,” he asserted.
The XI Musda is expected to produce visionary leadership and adaptive and relevant work programs for strengthening the character of the younger generation in North Sulawesi.
